©FORGET-THAT

Why would you want to continue dwelling on the past, so what you didn’t loose the weight, get up and get your butt moving... I know its been a struggle, and you have been trying for a long time. Its time to move forward and leave all your so-called failures, and excuses behind; your past is your past, so keep it where it belongs, in the past. You have to work at what you want, in-regards to your fitness program, and create how you want to feel and look; if your creating negative feelings or attaching negative emotions to your workouts, than your sabotaging yourself, and will probably never reach your goal. STOP IT and STOP IT now! Get your head straight and tell yourself “life is to short”, its time to stop blocking yourself and your strength…It’s time to stop focusing on your past failures and move forward, no more blame, “FORGET- THAT”! Its no longer enough for other’s to believe in you, you’ve got to start believing in yourself.

It’s YOUR choice-YOU decide©

Get off the fence and make a choice to be healthy and live life with quality, zest and good health. The only person holding you back from reaching your full potential is “YOU”, its your choice to workout and eat healthy or not to workout and eat healthy; its time for the blame game to end, take charge of your aching knees and sore elbow, most of the aches and pains are from a lack of exercise.
Its more than just getting out and getting involved in a recreational sport or activity, you have to train and condition your self for life and age…”IF YOU DO NOTHING-NOTHING WILL HAPPEN” and your body will slowly begin to reflect the process. I encourage you to make a choice and begin each day with the following….
• Morning reflection and meditation
• Prepare your daily food intake
• Decide what time you will workout/exercise
• Portion control
• Keep track of the amount of water you may or may not be drinking
• Include a multi vitamin of some sort after breakfast not before
• Oh and you may want to include “the sting of the King” (lol)…

The Time Is NOW©

The summer is ending, I am already thinking about how you will look in your holiday attire. Its time to begin holiday training NOW; don’t wait until your two weeks away from your first Christmas party (“panic”)…My logic on training and preparing for the season is you should always begin before its time; your holiday training begins post summer and your beach training begins post Christmas and New Years. I want you to look your very best as you glide across the floor in your holiday best; preferably with toned arms and a gorgeous back and neck-line showing. Who wants to attend a party covered from head to toe, which is not fun, it’s called hiding…The time in NOW! Your transformation begins with a good workout, and clean eating. Remember, you can eat healthy and still be over weight, its all about choices and portion control. How will you look this holiday season?
Bringing it to you fresh,

© Off The Wall

This undated stencil image of Michael Jackson was spotted near the Artkraft Strauss building in Midtown, NYC.
One of my favorite albums among others by the late great King of Pop (Michael Jackson), is “Off The Wall”- Living off the wall is what life is really all about; living life off the wall means taking good care of yourself, spiritually, mentally and Physically…It’s impossible to be on the “WALL” and motivated at the same time. I encourage you to step out and take action regarding your health and “stop saying what you’re going to do and do it”…The only person holding you against the wall is your-self. You have to allow your feet to move and your arms and hands to take action. Your body is begging you to get OFF the wall, get moving, and really commit to self…You’ve procrastinated long enough, its time to get back in the game and get “OFF THE WALL”, live your life off the wall…

© It’s also a MAN's THING

June 2009 It’s also a Man’s thing
My pants are too tight, this is not my size, this really makes me look fat…These are all statements that society would put off on a woman but if you listen closely its really a man's thing.
I am so sick of men making woman feel less than and constantly being told how much weight, they need to lose. Men suffer and are in pain over the struggle of losing weight, adding muscle, lowering body fat just like woman.
It’s not a gender thing, it’s a people thing. Take time and look around this week you will discover that for every over weight woman there are probably two over weight men, and I guarantee you they are struggling with their weight just like you. They are not comfortable with who they are; if a man is struggling to breath and can hardly walk up the steps are play with his children, he is not a happy camper, he want's to lose weight but just doesn't know how to get started...He also wants a great sex life and getting in shape will really help...
We just celebrated Fathers day, and me being the peculiar fitness coach that I am, wanted to write something a little different, so “I thought to myself “, “men also struggle”, but no one is talking about it…Men are hurting and getting larger every day as a result of their stress and bad habits.
We are also taught in our sexiest society that only woman worry about their weight (not) and waist line. I encourage you, to encourage every man you know to began a healthier life style, one that includes a good diet and a solid workout…Its not just a woman’s thing, it’s also a MAN THING!!!
Love and Peace,
Coach King

©No U turns

Don’t even think about turning around its not allowed in this lane, in fact it’s totally against the law of health and fitness, no U turns allowed. Why would you consider giving up on your goal to get in shape, is it because it is not happening fast enough? How long did it take you to get out of shape? I guarantee you IT did not happen overnight, although it may seem as if you looked up one day and their IT was. Making a U-turn should never be an option when it comes to your health, if you are in the wrong lane get over but be nice about it and use your flashers (lol)… You have come way too far on this journey known as fitness, YOU have endured lots of ups and downs but your ups have certainly been better than your downs. Consider writing down the changes you have experienced since adapting a fit life style, not just the physical changes but include the spiritual ones as well because the spiritual changes are the ones that help develop the long term effect and affect…NO U-TURNS!

© Speak yourself healthy

Did your start your day off with a positive attitude? What is the first word that came out of your mouth this morning, was it negative or positive? Did you know you could speak yourself into a healthy, strong or lean body? It is all about your attitude and how you see yourself and how you see life. You cannot start your day off by telling yourself how fat you are. You have to embrace positive thoughts and tell yourself how beautiful you are or how handsome you are. The words you speak out of your mouth or extremely important when it comes to achieving a healthy life style, if you ever plan to achieve your fitness goals and reach your target weight and body fat you have to begin speaking positive thoughts and positive thoughts only. Your body is very sensitive and listen’s to every word you speak or every thought you think. Why is it so hard to put positive thoughts in to action? It seems so easy to speak negative and think un- pleasant thoughts; try exercising healthy words today and speak yourself healthy…

©The Road

We are all traveling on a sort of road, for some the road is long and tiresome and for others the road is exciting and productive. My question for you today is ‘what ROAD are you traveling on? You might say, “What does this have to do with exercise and fitness”; it has everything to do with fitness. Some of us are on the road of constantly complaining -about all the things we find wrong with ourselves; others are on the road of faith (seeing it before it happens) and encouragement. The great thing about life is we get to choose what road or roads we would like to travel; health and fitness is no different. We are all in charge of our own bodies; for the most part, we choose what we will eat and what we will not eat.
We also choose how much we will eat and how much we will not eat. Most of us have been choosing what we will and will not do since birth…If you are on the road of complaining about weight and being over weight than make a choice to change your course of direction. If you do nothing- nothing will happen. If you are lacking activity in your life, get active. If you are eating to much stop it (no more emotional eating), begin writing your daily journal of food and how much you consume. If you start writing down your daily and weekly meals, you will be surprised at how long that road is or perhaps how short it is. You can do this, you can choose the road of a successful and healthy life style and the beautiful thing about is, it doesn’t matter what road you are on at the present time; you can always take a new one.

©I STILL BELIEVE IN YOU

Have you ever doubted yourself or your efforts to succeed at your fitness goals? Do you believe it is still possible to achieve what you initially set out to do? I do, and in-fact I believe in you so much that I am willing to believe for you until your able to believe in yourself. If you began your fitness life style with doubts, discouragement and negativity than you are blocking your success; keep each thought positive and consistently encourage yourself.
This is a journey, it is a path that you have chosen, and it is a path that has chosen you. When you decided to take your health back, you also decided to take your life back. It is time for you dig deep and remember why you decided to begin your life changing fitness program. Remember how good you felt and how dedicated you were when you first began training; those feelings are still their, you just have to believe in yourself. I am firm believer that “IF YOU DO NOTHING THAN NOTHING WILL HAPPEN”; all you must do is believe and believe in yourself.

©Your First Motivation

Do you recall the first time you decided to pick up a new workout regime or perhaps take an exercise class? What about the first time you decided to get serious and change your eating habits? Think about how good it felt when you finished your first set of crunches, or your first power walk, perhaps it was your first time using weights. Whatever the case, you made a decision at some point; you had a motivated heart. What happen to your first motivation?
Did life get in the way or did you forget to make health and fitness a part of your life. You cannot see exercise or eating healthy as something on the outside, you have to see it as a part of you. When you begin to see fitness the way you enjoy your favorite dish of food or favorite TV show, you will begin to embrace it and not see it as such a chore. What happen to your first motivation? Your results will only be as good as you are!

©Who is in your MIRROR? (text only)
This week’s blog speaks loud and clear, it speaks from the core of my soul and the essence of who I am. I thought long and hard about the title of this blog, pondered over writing it, and in the end decided that I had to write this. Who is in your mirror?
Do you recognize the person starring back at you or have you become somewhat unfamiliar with that individual? Do you enjoy looking at yourself nude or do you quickly hop out the shower and turn the lights off?
Who have you become over the past five or ten years of your life? When you look in the mirror, what thoughts are racing thru your head; are they positive or are they negative? If you avoid mirrors on a daily bases I encourage you to embrace them and take it one step further, talk to yourself and begin to put things in perspective; tell yourself how much you love you and the body that God has blessed you with.
When is the last time you really enjoyed looking at your self-naked and taking an overall assessment of what you love about yourself and what you would like to change. I think we should look at ourselves unclothed everyday, it keeps us on track and it keeps us honest….
- Jump out the shower and keep the lights on
- Don’t dry off right away, instead look in the mirror
- Embrace who you are
- Enjoy looking at yourself unclothed
- Be honest with self
- Recognize who you are and love yourself

©No Repeats (text only)
The year is moving and moving fast, time stands still for no one. What was happening in your life this time last year? Was it good or was it something you decided not to repeat in 2009? Are you?Decide you are going to do it and stick to it, no fear, no hesitation, “no repeats’. I am sure you are tired of repeating the same broken promises to yourself regarding your health and fitness, not to mention the emotional roller coaster ride, you are constantly getting on and getting off. No more repeats!
Your goal is to feel uplifted and take charge of YOU. Dismiss the negative repeats in your life and replace them with, power, determination and dedication. I know you are tired of starting and stopping; it is wasted energy. You just have to decide that you are not going to give up and you are not going to throw in the towel. Leave the repeats up to television, not your life…

©Chance is Everything (Text or Video)
The great thing about a new day is it always brings another chance; a chance to do things that we did not do yesterday or a chance to redo a few things we did do yesterday. What I love about chance when it comes to our health and fitness is we get to do it over again; so if things did not go as planed with our workout or our diets we can do it all over again because of chance. There are some things in this life we will never get to do over again-thank God working out and staying focused on our eating routine, is not one of them…Take a chance on yourself today and instead of telling yourself all the things you did wrong yesterday; help yourself to another chance...
